Now We Wait, and Pray

I have written before about what happens in Israel when there is a terrorist attack. We listen to the news, for hours, gleaning every tiny additional detail that is available. If our friends or relatives are anywhere near the area we call them and breathe a sigh of relief when we hear their voices. At the same time we wait to hear the names of those killed, to see if we know them personally or know of them. (In our tiny country, this is not so farfetched).

We pray for the injured to get better, and we pray that G-d gives strength to the families that will now be mourning.

Afterwards we slowly wean ourselves off the adrenaline rush. Until the next time.
