I Don’t Understand Their Obsession

I am less and less of a news hound lately – I pop into the websites of the major papers to read the headlines and then I go on to other things (like reading long books).

I have noticed, though, that there is a very strange thing going on in the American media. They have a very weird obsession with Sarah Palin.

She is always in the news.

Think about it. The election was over nine months ago. She was the vice presidential candidate that lost. Most people should be forgetting her name right about now…(Do you remember the vice-presidential candidates that lost? I don’t!)

What gives?

People seem to find her fascinating for some reason. She’s not your traditional political figure. She’s more like a celebrity whose every move is followed simply because she’s attractive and a bit crazy.

The Left-Feminist wing of the Democratic Party and it’s MSM enablers is horrified by her–she’s a threat to them bigger than N.Korea’s nukes. She’s attractive, articulate, holds an executive position, bootstrapped herself up from the PTA, cleaned up corruption in her own party (Republican, in bed with Oil up in Alaska), sold the governor’s jet and flies business class, gave herself a pay CUT when she began as governor….and is staunchly religious, right-wing, anti-abortion, pro-family, and she hunts. Like, with guns (gasp!)

They HATE her. A lot of the rest of us LOVE her for not being Politically Correct and “remaking” her image to suit the demands of major media. She’s genuine. I happen to NOT believe 99 % of her religious beliefs, but she’s okay with that–she also believes as an elected official its not right for her to force her personal beliefs on her constituency.

    They’re AFRAID of her….

I believe that despite the mockery, many on the Left are scared of her charisma. They’re hoping that if they knock her down a few pegs, some of the garbage will stick and make her unelectable in the future. (Assuming that she wishes to return to politics.)

I think it’s those cool glasses that are the cause of all the fascination.

If you’re interested here are the two of the best articles I’ve seen about Palin.

Yes, the leftists are “afraid” of her because she is MORAL and (so far) HONEST. She is running for President and could upset the scales if those people who are fighting the ‘Obamacare Bill’ organize and line up behind her. Otherwise, I don’t think there is much hope in the US.

The left is fearful of her. The more truth (outspoken) she speaks, the more they go crazy. We call it PDS. Palin Derangement Syndrome. Politicans tend to be self serving and she’s been a servant leader. The left gives lip service to diversity, celebrating differences, etc. If they don’t like what you say or belive they will fight to shut you down. The next thing to happen here in the U.S. is that our freedom of speech will be (attempted) to be taken from us. They will try to stifle talk radio. Beware the sleeping giant they have awakened. A population that disconnected from politics is awakening.
