Seems Like Someone Smells the Coffee

Another terrorist attack today in Jerusalem, this time by an Arab using a bulldozer as a weapon. (For those of you who like to see the bad guys get it, there is a video of him getting shot.) At least this one won’t be released in the future….

Three killed, many more wounded, and one baby saved by a mother who threw him out of the window of the car before the bulldozer crushed her to death. (I have been living here in Israel for 17 years, and I am used to hearing about terrorist attacks. But the story about the baby literally made me shudder with repulsion).

A lot of people are outraged, including some on the left. Bradley Burston is pretty ticked off, and wants to see his fellow left-wingers protest. He even, in the heat of anger, poses the possibility that the Palestinians don’t really want a state, they just want to see Jews die. (I don’t know why the Kassam rockets being fired all of the time didn’t enlist this reaction. I guess the terrorists have to get creative in order to stir some people up).

I just wonder if this momentary anger will change his long-term position. Will he come out against, for example, the bill that passed the first reading today in the Knesset, giving the Interior Minister the right to revoke the citizenship of terrorist’s families (which means that they will lose the benefits of Bituach Leumi, for example)?

I posted about this, I was so outraged. I also have a son and daughter-in-law (and her family, and many friends) living in Yerushalayim. After calling my kids and speaking with some friends, I was ready to deport the whole Arab population; instead, I wrote about it (deporting them, that is). Thank G-d there was someone with courage to fly in the face of ‘political correctness’ and excessive laws against firing a weapon to save lives, self-defense or otherwise-to take the correct action and stop this murderer for good.
You are right: some people on the left seem to be beginning to SEE.
I also wonder if it will last. As people with שכל and בינה know, כהנא צדק
Would you add my blog to your blogroll? Yours has been on mine for a long time…

That would make sense, revoking citizenship.
