New bumper sticker for the success of the Gaza War
The above sticker can be read in two ways. The literal Hebrew meaning is “B’Aza NiNatzeach” – “In Gaza We Will Win”. The acronym is “BEZrat Hashem NiNatzeach” – “With G-d’s Help We Will Win”. Two meanings, one “secular” if you will, one “religious” – but inextricably entwined.
This describes the fighting forces that are now in Gaza. In a short report from an IDF radio reporter that was allowed in, he described a unit in the Givati Brigade near Zeitun. They went into a house to pray before continuing the operation, and he said that “there are no religious and no secular, we are all one here” as everyone joined in with the minyan.
At first I thought you were being idealist. Then I read your post more carefully, smiled, and thought, “that’s witty.”
